optrel has received a major order from state owned institute for electricity and telecommunications ICE in Costa Rica

   

Optrel wins the public tendering of the Instituta Costarricense de Electricidas (ICE) for the 1 Mio $ project of the 305 Megawatt Hydro-electric power plant Reventazon. „We are glad to get the acceptance of bid from Costa Rica. This confirms our assumption in the forceful product orientation for the enhancement of efficiency within the welding process“ , says the chairman of optrel’s administrative coucil, Mr. Marco Koch. Along with the actual power plant the major project comprises investions in buildings and infrastructure that contains many metal constructions. In particular the bridge constructions as well as the manufacturing and the installation of the 8.5 meter calibred pipelines require a high degree of welding.

 

After extensive field testing of the welding protective equipment of all well-known manufacturers the ICE finally has decided for the welding helmet type optrel e670 which can also be used in combination with the PAPR system optrel e1100. „Along with the high wearing comfort and the optimum ventilation of the helmet we were convinced by the automatic shade level detection. This way our welding specialists reaching highest efficiency combined with highest safety“ the responsible comissioners said. The delivery of the welding helmets and the PAPR systems will be effected step by step.
