The optrel expert papr respirator system offers more than fresh air. Smoke, dust, vapour and gas are all part of the welding environment. These gases and particles when breathed in by the welder can potentially cause a variety of respiratory ailments.
  
optrel’s expert papr systems are designed to protect against these dangers, while insuring comfort. By combining particle and gas filtration capabilities these breathable dangers caused by the welding environment are eliminated. All optrel blower units are designed to be combined with the optrel e600 helmet shell.
  

     
The optrel blower units e1100 and e2100 consist of a fan with a rechargeable battery which draws in ambient air through a fine filter and supplies the helmet with clean, fresh air. The units are fitted with both a visual and acoustic alarm which warns the welder if the filter is not in place or is blocked or if the battery voltage drops.
 
The optrel e2200 CompressedAir breathing protection system consists of an flexible air hose which can be connected to any stationary workplace with respirable compressed air supply according to EN148/1. For mobile applications the identically welding helmet can also be used with the blower units optrel e1100  or optrel e2100. For additional protection, eg. from falling pieces all optrel breathing protection systems are optionally available with a hard hat.
  

  
  
Thanks to a special inner mask to regulate the airflow, the welder is permanently protected from harmful substances and at the same time benefits from a pleasant cooling effect. A soft and flame-retardant face seal is used to adapt the unit to the face, for optimum comfort and for excellent sealing properties.
  
If the welder uses the adjustment mechanism to select the «off» position, 100% of airflow is directed towards his mouth. If the «on» position is selected, 20% of the air is directed towards his forehead and 80% towards his mouth. This produces a cooling effect without the welder’s eyes being irritated by an annoying airflow. Maximum protection and comfort are guaranteed.
  

  

  
The filter used in the optrel e1100 unit is a special, fine mesh filter for ideally filtering particles. The various combination filters of the optrel e2100 allow the welder to tailor the helmet precisely to his needs. The standard range contains three filter types (TH2P R SL, TH2A2P SL, TH2A2B2E2SXPSL), each of which offer the highest possible protection from various gases (see Filter Protection Guide).
