It is a velcro. Open the velcro in the top part of the helmet shell and mount the welding filter according to the user manual. After mounting. The face seal/the velcro must be closed absolutely!

I don't want use the hard hat adapter anymore, how to re-assemble the headgear?
Dismount the adapters from the hard hat and knock out the rivets from the complements with a drift punch and a hammer.

With that screw, the distance between the eyes and the welding helmet/welding filter can be set. There are 3 positions, the higher the position, the bigger is the distance between the eyes and the welding filter.

With that screw, you can set the angle from the mask on the head. Use the delivered Allen key.
Is there a difference between the two black adapters?
Yes. When mounting, necessarily observance the letters L and R, which stands for left and right.

No. Since the customer can use 7 different helmets with the Hard Hat Adapter, the hard hat and the adapter only are delivered.
Can I use the Optrel Hard Hat Adapter Connect Basic with all welding helmets from Optrel?
The Hard Hat Adapter fits with the Optrel OSE/e600/p500/b600 series.
How to store Optrel welding helmets?
The welding helmet must be stored at room temperature and at low humidity in a dark room, preferably in the original packaging.

By using an optrel ADF I’ve got a welder’s flash?
This is not possible by using the optrel ADFs correctly. At any time you are protected against UV/IR light, even when the ADF is not darkening.
The cartridge opens while welding, is it dangerous?
No, thanks to the permanent UV/IR protection of SPERIAN ADF you are well protected against the most harmful illumination. However, the strong visible light may lead to red eyes and eye strain, if you continue to weld with an ADF that is not darkening.
Is the Optrel e680 (formerly Optrel Satellite and Optrel Brilliant) suitable for gas welding?
Yes, they are. Push the sensor-slide up and set the sensitivity to the highest level
What this the sensor bar or slide for?
The sensor bar or slide reduces the detection angle of the ADF, thereby the reaction of the ADF is concentrated on the desired welding arc instead of other light sources.
The viewing area of the Optrel Product is smaller than that from the competitors
Although the viewing area is smaller, the field of vision is wider. The perception of the vision out of a helmet is measured by an angle defined by the size of the window and the distance between the eyes and the window and not only by the size of the window. Thanks to the “telescope effect” of the headgear the Optrel products have a wider field of vision as compared to the competition.
